Staying fit and healthy are among the main goals that all individuals would want to achieve for themselves. Given the many campaigns to manage their weight, many options to remain fit have definitely taken the interest of many individuals. Among the options available is pilates. This has taken a popular toll in the fitness industry given the results promised by this one of a kind fitness method.
This form of exercise was developed by Joseph Pilates and was first brought to the country’s shores in 1925 when he moved to New York. Along with his wife Clara, they taught a number of students to make use of the mind in order to control the muscles. It not only is a great way of exercising, it also helps a person gain balance and provide ample support for the spine. He taught how to be more aware of breathing while doing these exercises. Even to this day, pilates remains to be one of the well loved fitness options when it comes to getting in shape.
